Licensing Overview
Support by Number of Developers For systems up to 64 nodes

You may use the product within the terms set forth in the license/EULA. Support services are available based on the number of developer seats you've purchased. These options apply to products that offer multi-node support for systems up to 64 nodes.

  • Named User: Provides support for a single designated developer.
  • 2 Concurrent Users (formerly Workgroup): Grants support access to up to 10 developers, with up to 2 using the tool simultaneously.
  • 5 Concurrent Users (formerly Department): Grants support access to up to 25 developers, with up to 5 using the tool simultaneously.
  • 10 Concurrent Users (formerly Division): Grants support access to up to 50 developers, with up to 10 using the tool simultaneously.
  • Enterprise: Provides support for teams of 50 or more developers.
The number of licenses required depends on how many developers on your team need product support.
Support by System Size For systems with 65+ nodes

You may use the product within the terms set forth in the license/EULA. For a single system consisting of 65 or more designated nodes:

(a) Support is available to all developers using the system, based on system size:

  • Small systems: 65–256 nodes
  • Medium systems: 257–512 nodes
  • Large systems: 513 nodes or more

(b) Support is provided for issues reproducible on a genuine Intel® platform.

The license type required is determined by the total number of nodes in the system.

The correspondence with the traditional licensing form (equivalent license for version upgrades and upgrades) is as follows.

  • Transferring licenses from Intel Parallel Studio XE to Intel oneAPI-based Toolkit or Intel oneAPI-based & HPC Toolkit must be done through a free or paid upgrade.®®®

Product Editions

Single-Node vs. Multi-Node Products

The Intel® oneAPI Base & HPC Toolkit is available in two editions, depending on the memory architecture of the target platform:

  • Single-node — For shared-memory target platforms, including PCs, laptops, and workstations.
  • Multi-node — For shared-memory target platforms (PCs, laptops, workstations) as well as distributed-memory systems such as HPC clusters.
Multi-node products support systems with up to 64 nodes. Single-node products support use on a single node only.
